One Little Slip ...

... changed our Autumn. That's for sure. I knew I needed a break in late August from my Etsy shop, but planned to reopen in September, as soon as we got into our school year groove. And then my oldest had an accident ... he fell from a rope swing and a month later, things are still so crazy that I don't know what to expect around each new bend and turn. We've been through 2 surgeries and a 3rd is highly likely. He's home with me, not in school, so that makes things difficult for me trying to run a business or even get out to run errands and shop. He tires so easily and doesn't sleep well at night because of pain and discomfort. But we are managing as best we can and hopeful that this all ends for the best.

I wanted to document the road we've traveled this past month before I forget all the details. He doesn't want to talk about that day much, and I don't blame him, but someday I imagine he will. I had my iPhone with me at all times and took pictures using the Instagram app {Love!}. Linda Roos, one of the designers at JessicaSprague.com is releasing a new template pak called Foto and it is perfect for all those smaller photos that accumulate on your iPhone from apps like Instagram & Hipstamatic. Here's my 2 page Layout. I'm sure you'll see more pages as the story continues ...

Catching up on LOs for September

I feel like I just don't have much time for blogging these days.

What have I been up to? Well, I have spent the last 5 weeks, taking Carina Gardner's Art of Digital Design 2 class over at Jessica Sprague. It was an amazing, fantastic, eye opening journey ... I loved every minute of that class. Carina gives you weekly assignments and provides critiques of your design work as you move along, so you can improve and learn as you progress to the final week, where fittingly, your Final Assignment is due. The critiques are a mix of written cirtiques and verbal/iTunes critiques. The iTunes critiques are audio files that you download and it makes you feel as if Carina is right there with you, peeking over your shoulder onto your display screen and sharing her thoughts on your work. It is pretty awesome! Highly recommend this class. Click the Link for AODD2 to read more about the class and get your name on the "notify me" list to be "in the know" for when the next class offering will be held. Carina does a few live webinars throughout the class and is readily available in the forum, along with her amazing assistant Susan. Together they make a fabulous team!

Summer's End ...

I can not believe Labor Day is here. The kids go back to school this week. It is time for schedules and after school activities, homework and the hustle -n- bustle of September once again.

We just returned from vacation, so it will take a little while to get back into the swing of things again.
