Carefree Lazy Days ... and the photos to prove it! Vol. 3

I have another set of lazy summer photos to share. The week shown here was filled with more boardwalk, crabbing and the aquarium. (When you live on the east coast, it wouldn't be summer without those things, right?) It was filled with mornings sleeping in (and the kids' making their own breakfasts, oh yeah!), late game nights with yummy desserts, pool time with friends and finding bugs.

A lazy, carefree summer week to remember alright!

Oh yeah, and the awesome cute (Faux)laroid frames are by Nisa of {Splendid Fiins}. Get them here.

Carefree Lazy Days ... and the Photos to Prove it! Vol 2.

Hey there! I've decided to put together some favorite photos showcasing our carefree lazy days of summer each week. So every Thursday I'll put these up using Nisa's (Faux)laroids. Remember many of these are taken with my crummy iphone camera so don't judge the photo quality too harshly! ;)

These photos highlight a week spent at the beach, the boardwalk, crabbing, Poolside BBQs and lots of wheels!

That's it for now!

Carefree Lazy Days ... and the photos to prove it!

So loving our relaxed summer schedule, time spent outdoors and enjoying the sun's warmth this time of year. When I was a child, summer was by far my favorite season. As I got older I gravitated more towards spring - probably due to my frustration with the cold winter and the promise of the earth warming up again in my hemisphere. I know I began to resent the summer heat and liked spring for it's milder temperatures. But for the past few years, I'm definitely back to loving summer again.

My last post mentioned loving Nisa's {of Splendid Fiins} (Faux)laroids and I meant it! I can not stop putting photos into these charming frames. So easy and so fun. Most of these photos are taken with my crummy iPhone camera. Often it's all I have with me. But some photoshop tweaking and Nisa's (Faux)laroids, my photos don't look half bad!

Here are some recent favorite Carefree Lazy Days of Summer photos.

Hope you are enjoying your summer and capturing your memories!

Back from a little vacation ...

hey there! i'm back from a little R&R. love the lazy carefree days of summer. last week we had no camps to drive the kids to in the early morning hours, no work and no real commitments. we spent most of our days near the beach and the boardwalk or poolside ... eating seafood & playing minigolf. i wish summer would last forever! :)

here's a layout i whipped up with photos from some time spent crabbing this past week.

The Outbursts are Nisa's newest product. So fun to use. They come as layered .psd files so you can easily clip papers or change colors to change the look in a snap. And this was the first time I used her (faux)laroids too. OMG! So cute. I love the vintaged/distressed/slightly colored layer that is added to your photo. Just makes it pop! Super easy and super fun.

And a layout from a class field trip to a Japanese restaurant. Very cool, very graphic set of frames that Nisa created. And Liv's solid papers are so rich and bold. Love!
