Friday Layouts

So glad it's Friday. The kids have Monday off from school ... so it's a 3 day weekend for us! Woo - Hoo. Really hoping to spend a decent amount of time outdoors ... the leaves are starting to glow with the colors of autumn and the Hudson Valley is looking gorgeous. I want to enjoy it before it is gone.

The photos, in the layouts below, were taken at the end of September at a local Apple Orchard. We still have way too many apples left to warrant a trip back there, but I'd love to get out and go for a hike or day trip somewhere scenic.

Memory Keeping Monday ... It's finally April

Why am I so excited it's April? Because April means there's the real hope of Spring-like weather.

March was a washout ... cold, snowy, overcast and generally all-around yucky! April has to be better ... warmer, sunnier and please, please ... no snow. I'm in desperate need of fresh air and sunshine ... because I don't like to be outside when it's cold, and it's been cold for far too long. In fact we are putting the outdoor furniture OUTSIDE this weekend, regardless of whether it is warm or not. It's time!

April is also my birthday month, although I'm never really all that excited about aging another year. In fact, I've been telling everyone I'm like a year or two older than I really am, because, honestly ... I just forget how old I am and can't be bothered to do the math (my least favorite subject always!).

And April means the start of the outdoor soccer season again. 5 months of indoor soccer makes me cranky.

So bring on April ... and bring on the sunshine! I think this Layout with American Craft's latest digital release Hello Sunshine sums things up nicely!

Memory Keeping Monday

Writing to you from my snuggly warm spot on the sofa, near the fireplace, with wooly blanket on my lap. Sounds crazy, since we are on Spring Break this week & Spring "officially" arrived 6 days ago. You wouldn't know it though, because we're expecting another snow storm later today ... numerous outdoor soccer events had to be cancelled this past weekend and again for this evening, and it pretty much snows at least every other day around here. Oh well, not much we can do to control Mother Nature ... hoping she is kind to us this summer and rewards us with lovely weather.

It's been a few weeks since I sat down to create ... today I have two to share with you. Both can be found at AC Digitals, on sale this week.

Up first is Dear Lizzy's Neopolitan collection ... a darling kit featuring pastels, ice cream and sweet papers and elements.

Today's Memory Keeping Monday brings just one layout, a picture from 2011, just before my daughter's first orchestra concert. She was so excited to finally get the chance to pick an instrument. I loved the paper with the music notes in this collection and the happy, cheerful elements to match.
