A New Adventure

Aside from working with felt and wool, I enjoy lots of other crafty things including working with paper. I even had a short stint designing invitations and Christmas cards. But my newest love is working with Photoshop. I'm always amazed at what this program can do and constantly learning new things. I love quick simple projects like editing my photos to frame for my walls. I love putting my photos and family memories into digital pages as well. I spend a lot of free time hanging out at at a fantastic site: jessicasprague.com . Jessica's classes are video based and amazingly fun and easy to follow along, yet challenging and full of tricks, tips and new techniques. I've taken so many of her classes I've seriously lost count of them all. Anyway, what I 'm trying to get to is that hanging out on this site has led me down a new path ... recently Jessica announced a call for a new Creative Team. And just last night I found out that I had been one of the chosen! How cool is that? I'll be working with some uber talented designers - creating projects to show off their gorgeous products. I've included the three projects I submitted for the Creative Team call:

And if you have any interest in learning how to use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to create similar layouts or to simply edit your precious photos, make sure you check this site out. There are classes on Photography, Adobe Illustrator, Wacom Tablets and Photo Organization as well. Good Stuff!! Check it out!

Wholesale Vendor Event

I am often sending out newsletters with sales for my retail customers and thought, how can I include a little somethin' somethin' for my wholesale vendors? (I like to spread the coupon love full circle, when possible.) So....after thinking for a little while, what I came up with was a reduced minimum purchase amount period. How great does that sound? So from now until - oh say about 2 months or so - you can use your wholesale discount with only a $100 minimum purchase.

Use this to just add a little stock to your store .... or to try out some new product in your store. Maybe a cute little Pretty in Posies basket near your register for customers to touch and oogle over as they checkout.

So ... you have just 2 months to get your order in ... and then the minimum purchase amount goes back to normal. Let's set the deadline as June 15th, for this offer to expire.

Please remember to login before you add items to your cart or your wholesale discount will not apply. If you have forgotten your password, have questions or need help in any way, please let me know! And please remember your total order must be at least $100.

My little thank you!!
Happy Spring!!!

Green Spring Sale

I had so much fun doing my holiday sale last winter, that I thought I'd do something similar again for the Spring! From now until 2pm Eastern Time on Saturday April 17th, buy 3 items and get Free Shipping ... plus there will be random items with Green on sale for as much as 50% off!!! Remember I use Green leaves in many of my designs, so the possibilities for what will go on sale are almost endless!!! Some items are randomly marked down already and I'll be adding more items throughout the 4 days!

HOW it will work:
-Feel free to checkout as many times as you like throughout the next 4 days of the Green Spring Sale, to take advantage of all those random sale items! You can wait to pay at the end of the Sale, as I will send you a revised invoice. Or simply let me know that you are done shopping and I will send a revised invoice at that time.
-If you pay immediately, and take advantage of the Free Shipping with the purchase of 3 or more items - a refund will be given via paypal after sale. Random Sale items will be marked down already in the store. If you think you may shop some more, please let me know so I don't mail your items before you are done shopping!! It's "greener" to send it all in one package!
You can start shopping now! :) And let me know if you have any questions!

WHOLESALE VENDORS - THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL EVENT FOR YOU AS WELL. Please check my blog tomorrow for details!

Get Crafty with Kids

So this little gem of a blog appeared in my inbox this morning courtesy of Craft Magazine Daily:

Spring Wardrobe Update by Kristen Sutcliffe from New House Project
Kristin writes: I often find vintage embroidered handkerchiefs at estate sales and flea markets, but I don't have a good use for them. I decided to use one to transform one of Saya's plain tank tops for spring. Even if you are not a big sewer, you can do this project. I promise it is very quick and easy.

How cute is that tank top? I read the tutorial & it does look super easy! Now you have an excuse to peruse your local flea market or garage sales ... or ebay if things haven't warmed up in your neck of the woods.

The whole blog is dedicated to crafting with children. Reminds me of my early stay at home years with my kids. We lived in California where the weather was almost always beautiful and we spent many an afternoon out in the yard making endless works of art and mucking up our plastic PlaySkool (is that how you spell it?) picnic table. Had I had this little blog at my disposal back then, I would have been a happy mama. Not saying I wasn't a happy mama, but I did spend an enormous amount of time searching for kid friendly craft projects or trying out my own ideas (not all of them were a success let me tell ya!) Everything looks easy, fun and best of all ... for most of the projects, you can use ordinary household items and even do some recycling.

Here is another adorable project: Heart hand stamps by Khali from Little. Lovely.
