A Desktop Calendar for the year ...

so i was working on a layout for some new Jodie Lee digital products coming out soon and my husband saw the page and asked me to send it to him ... for FB or as a desktop background. and i thought ... yes! i would love to have this as a background too for my laptop.

so i added some extra photos and details and decided to make it applicable to the whole year. (i can get lazy about updating the backgrounds for each month.) here's how it turned out:

and then i did another one with photos of the rest of the extended family who were also on the OBX vacation with us. here's that one:

i'll put up full credits in a bit, but for now most of this is made with products by Jodie Lee and Kitschy Digitals & the background paper is by Queen of Quirk, all found at jessicasprague.com.

February Layouts ...

hi there. i've been up to my eyeballs with classes at jessicasprague.com this month. what am i taking you ask? well, i'm currently finishing up candice stringham's flash of brillance class. we have learned so much about using on camera flash in all kinds of settings. i love having a better understanding of how to use on camera flash to improve my indoor photos ... which to tell you the truth is pretty much all the photos i seem to take during the cold winter months. but this week's lesson is about going outside and using the flash. very fun indeed! highly recommend taking this class next time it is offered if you own a speedlite or hope to some day soon!

and the other class that i'm trying to keep up, with but am failing miserably at, is the art of poster design with jessica sprague. the first lesson was a fun alphabet poster. since then we've had lessons on lots of different styles of posters that can be adapted and customized to fit your needs. such a creative group of classmates i have! love looking through the gallery to see what everyone else is working on! and no worries that i am a little behind in my class lessons, because once you purchase a class at jessicasprague.com, it is available forever!

this is going to look so cool framed and hanging in my entry way!
